New Catalogue Sneak Peek #6

Hello again,
I have a couple of simple cards to share today.

The papers I used are from 'Polka Dot Parade' and are some of my favourites.

New Catalogue Sneak Peek #5

Hi there,
Something a bit different today.

I have made two cards in the same design but different colours.

First up using Strawberry Slush cardstock.

And second using Costal Cabana cardstock

For both cards I used patterned paper from 'Quartrefancy Speciality' paper pack.  I stamped the design from 'Mosaic Madness' stamp set and punched out using the coordinating 'Mosaic' punch.

I can not take credit for the design of the card I saw it on pintrest and really liked it, the tutorial is here if you wish to have a go at making one.

New Catalogue Sneak Peeks #4

Hi there, back again with more to share today

I have two cards to show using the same products, one with a masculine feel and one more feminine.

I have used Baked Brown Sugar cardstock for the bases and patterned paper from 'Soho Subway' paper pack.  The sentiments for both cards are from the 'Label Love' stamp set, using the coordinating punch and are stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink.

To embellish the cards I have used This and That washi tape and handmade clay buttons and flowers.  These were made using a great new product 'Simply Pressed Clay' and 'Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds'.  I experimented with the clay colouring it before use with Pistachio Pudding ink from a reinker when I made the blossoms and colouring after dry for the buttons.  Both ways seems to give a good effect but I will be experimenting more.

The clay is airdry and very light so great for cards.  It is great to be able to make this type of embellishment in any colour needed for a project, I just need a bit of practise so my buttons end up round like buttons should be ;)

New Catalogue Sneak peek #3

hello on this sunny Saturday,

Today I am sharing a set of very simple cards, I don't do 'clean and simple' but these images are so beautiful they don't need a lot of embellishment

I stamped the images from the new hostess set 'Simply Sketched' onto card using Stazon ink and then coloured using a waterbrush and ink from the new 'In colours' ink pads.

I think this stamp set is going to be a new favourite, you can get yours when you host a Stampin' up party!

I hope you have had a sunny day too

Emily

New Catalogue Sneak Peek #2

Hello again,
I am back today with another sneak peek

For this card I have used Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock for the base and stamped the lovely 'Wildflower Meadow' stamp onto Smokey Slate cardstock using the Smokey Slate ink.  This is a new colour added to the Neutrals collection and is a lovely shade of grey.  I then added a greeting in Crisp Cantaloupe using the 'Label Love' stamp set and coordinating punch.

To add a bit of extra detail I used a small spot of Crystal Effects on the center of the flowers.

Storytime - School photo layout

Hello Everyone,
I have been scrapbooking again!

I have used the lovely papers from the 'Storytime' paper pack.  This pack is so lovely its a good job there are two sheets of each paper or I would never of been able to cut into it!

One of the sheets has this great report card on it.

I kept the embellishments very simple just using these cute 'vowels' and 'numbers' cards from the same sheet as the report card.

I used Always Artichoke ink to ink all the edges and curled them for a bit of dimension.

Sunshine and Sprinkles LO 2 - Oh, Hello Buttons

Hi Everyone

I have another simple scrapbook page to share today.  These a photos taken this week of my little girl having her first taste of milky bar buttons, she is not quite sure what to make of them :)

I used Rose Red Cardstock and teamed it up with the lovely spotty paper from the Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper pack.

The photos fill up most of the page but I used the Oh, Hello stamp set for some accents and a bit of Pretty in pink stitched crossgrain ribbon.

Sunshine and Sprinkles Layout

Hi Everyone

I am not a very expert scrapbooker but I do a few layouts from time to time.

Last weekend my Daughter went to her friend's Birthday party, it was a lovely spring day with snow and gale force winds so I couldn't resist taking picture of her walking home, she looked so funny in her party dress, glittery face paints and wellies.  As for the balloon it was a miracle it made it home at all.

My Layout is done on SU So Saffron Cardstock and I used papers from the Sunshine and Sprinkles designer series.

I gave my Sizzlits Pinwheel die its first outing to embellish the page but otherwise left it fairly simple with just a small amount of journaling

Getting Inky, Very Inky

Hi Everyone

I have been busy decorating the cover of my new mixed media album.  The covers are canvas which is great to stamp on.

I stamped the 'delicate doilies' stamps in Crumb cake, pool party and island indigo ink to create a background on all the covers.
I also inked the edges and any spaces with crumb cake ink.

Above is the inside and below shows the back cover.

These are all the different stamps I used on this project, I love being able to combine different sets on one project.

 Materials Used:

First Edition Paper Pack
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Swallowtail, Hearts a Flutter, Delicate Doilies and Postage Due
Punches: Postage Stamp, Blossom, Circle
Ribbon, buttons and Trinket

Some close ups of the details

Blossom Bunch from the Blossom Punch

 Hello Everyone

I was lucky to get a bit of craft time this morning and this is what I made.

I saw a similar thing on pintrest but it was smaller and was to hang, I wanted mine to look more like a bucket of spring flowers.

I used a polystyrene ball (bought from hobycraft for speed) and superglued this into the metal bucket.  I punched lots of flowers and pinned them to the ball filling any small gaps with the 'leaves' and small lengths of ribbon. Finished it off by decorating the bucket with two ribbons.

Products Used:

Stampin Up Blossom punch
Stampin Up Cardstock in Lucky Limeade
Stampin Up Papers from First Edition and Tea for Two
Stampin Up Ribbon Taffeta in So Saffon
Stampin Up Ribbon Crossgrain Stitched in Daffodil Delight
lots of pins

I hope you are enjoying my projects

Super Speedy Swallowtail note cards

Hi everyone

Last night I made a few very quick note cards using the lovely Swallowtail stamp from the Stampin Up seasonal catalogue.

I cut pieces of paper from the First edition paper series to fit the front of my card blanks and then stamped the Swallowtail onto them in the beautiful Pool Party Ink.

Very quick and simple but quite effective.

Thank you for looking
